The Suncoast.
The first thing you fall in love with is the water. It’s everywhere you look. The blue green gulf, wide open bays and mile wide rivers stretching all the way to Mexico.Mile wide rivers. The bays and harbors, large and small. The inlets, the coves, and the mangroves. This was pirate territory back in the 1700’s.
Some times the water is up close and personal. In many cases it’s in your own backyard. And even if it’s a hazard, it’s still pretty great.
We’re a little different from the rest of Florida. Casual, yes, but we can get surprisingly sophisticated, with our own symphonies, orchestras, ballet and opera companies, and multiple live theaters performing year around. Some people go to everything. But for others we represent true escape, where luxury means you never have to leave your home.
It’s the weather that makes all this possible, of course. We have year round golf, tennis and boating. Year round strolling on our 400 miles of white sand beaches, some of the best in the world. By the way, did you know that around here the sun sets over the water in the west? And come February, when we’re the envy of the rest of the shivering snowed-in country, what do we have? Spring training. World class rowing competitions. Multiple fishing tournaments – with Tarpon bringing anglers from around the world.
