Michael Saunders & Company Welcomes Upscale Shopping to Downtown Sarasota

Commercial Division, announces downtown Sarasota’s renaissance with the prestigious
new Orange Dolphin Galleria. One of the city’s most glamorous urban renewal projects,
at the corner of Orange Avenue and Dolphin Street, the Orange Dolphin is a perfect
destination shopping center. It will transform the vintage Bell Plaza near the theatre
district and provide an excellent opportunity for jewelers, antiques, art galleries, wine
bars, coffee shops, home accessory and gift shops, and clothing boutiques.
Retailers can take advantage of low build-out costs by leasing now before
construction is complete. They will benefit from special events like the grand opening
and ongoing advertising and promotions by the developers and anchor stores. Eight
prime retail spaces are available in increments of 775, 1,550, or 2,325 square feet. This

Formerly the Bell Plaza Shopping Center, the location has rich with history. It
housed the Cardinal Mooney High School in the late 1950s before Serbin Printing
Company remodeled and occupied the property.
William Thorning Little is the project’s architect, known for his lavish and innovative
Mediterranean buildings combining Old World charm with contemporary amenities. is
catering sophisticated retailers such as jewelers, wine bars, coffee shops, home decor
and unique gift shops, art galleries and clothing boutiques.
Project developer Gary Pike says, “The Orange Dolphin will be a destination
shopping experience for those interested in high quality, unique European furniture and
art and other rare specialties.” One store, Point West Antiques, will feature antique
furniture, Juliska glass from the Czech Republic, home accessories imported from
France, Austria, and England and vintage books.
