Warner Bayou bears the name of The Warner family – James, Eleanor and their children – from Springfield, Massachusetts, who settled in Manatee County in 1868. Warburton S. Warner, son of James and Eleanor, went on to found the town of Palma Sola in 1884 on a portion of the family homestead. His home “Sans Terre” still stands on the shores of the Manatee River, a reminder of Manatee County’s pioneers.
Comprised of three separate bayous that flow through the Manatee River and into the Intracoastal Waterway, Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, Warner Bayou is wonderful for boating, kayaking and fishing. Properties in the Bayou area are high-end, luxury waterfront residences. Newly designed mansions and classic Key West estates here enjoy sweeping panoramic water views.
