James Buchanan, a proud Cardinal Mooney alumnus, received a full athletic football scholarship to Florida State University, where he double majored in finance and entrepreneurship with a real estate emphasis. James graduated from FSU in a short 3½ years. Upon returning to Sarasota, he went to work for a privately owned automotive group, where his primary focus was capital budgeting projects and portfolio management. Eventually, he shifted his eyes to real estate to better combine his financial knack with his entrepreneurial wit.
James enjoys boating, fishing and waterfront living, and considers himself a hobbyist in golfing, bowling and gardening. As a member of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals Group, and SYR, James maintains a strong connection to the community.
