David Haas, REALTOR®

Born in Neptune, New Jersey, David Haas grew up in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, just 20 miles outside of New York City. Before relocating to Sarasota in 2001, David lived in Boulder and Greeley Colorado for 17 years, and in Reston, Virginia, in the Washington, DC area for 18 years. David brings an extensive education to his profession, having earned a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University, a master’s degree from the University of Colorado, and a PhD from Ohio University.

Before transitioning to real estate in 2002, David worked in the planning department and was on the Human Relations Commission for the City of Boulder, Colorado; enjoyed roles as an associate professor of art history, director of integrated studies, and chair of interdisciplinary studies at the University of Northern Colorado; and served as the president of Fairfax Enterprises in Reston, Virginia.

As a Realtor, David has garnered recognition as Rookie of the Year, and achieved a level of success to be named a member of Coldwell Banker’s Sterling Club and the International President’s Circle. In 2000, David was awarded with Reston, Virginia’s Best of Reston Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the community.

David’s interests include tennis, boating, walking for fitness, health and nutrition, international cooking, international travel, gardening, painting, art and theatre, and the study of modern architecture—especially the Sarasota School of Architecture.
