We randomly met Joanne last winter, and we were so lucky. After looking at 3 houses, she knew exactly what we wanted and led us in that direction. We loved what she showed us, our personalities clicked, and we ended up building. When we headed back north at the end of April, ground had not been broken. When we came back to FL, almost 2 weeks ago, it was for the closing. We did not come down once during the building process, but Joanne and Jim sent weekly pictures and emailed or texted us with updates. Without them, we would have had to make numerous trips to check on the process. During the walk throughs, they both pointed out things that we might have missed. They were a great sounding board throughout this whole operation. We can't say enough good things about these two and would recommend them to anyone buying or selling a house.

Joanne Hammar was recommended as a realtor to me by a friend who bought a home from Joanne and her husband at Sarasota Natl, Venice Florida. I met with Joanne on March 16, 2019. I found Joanne to be very professional, very patient and “no pressure“. On March 16, I put a deposit on a home in Sarasota Natl with the understanding that it was subject to my husband’s approval. Joanne guided us every step of the way and actually represented us at the title company since we were snowbirds and could not be in Florida for the closing of our new home Although we hired a person to check the new house, we have had some problems with the AC system and tonight I called Joanne because our house checker was out of town. Joanne and her husband went over to our house and found the temperature in the house to be 114°. She followed this up with phone calls to us, to customer care at Sarasota Natl, phone calls to conditioned air, the AC company, and multiple phone calls and texts to me. She did her best to ameliorate the problem. This was certainly above and beyond anything I would expect of a realtor. In fact, my husband and I have bought five homes over the 45 years of our marriage and although we have always been treated nicely by our realtors we have never been shown the consideration that Joanne has shown to us. Not only did Joanne go to our house tonight but she is going to follow it up with a visit to the house tomorrow to make sure that the AC is repaired.I felt that Joanne was a great realtor before tonight’s occurrence but now I feel that she is one of the most outstanding realtors I have ever met. She has made a very stressful situation much easier for me and my husband to accept.We do not only think of Joanne Hammar as our realtor but we also think of her as a friend. We are truly thankful to have met her.

Joanne is knowledgeable, compassionate and hardworking. She truly wants her clients to find the right home and understands how stressful the process can be at times. We were so lucky that she was our agent. She and her husband Jim actually checked on our new construction home and kept us up to date on the progress. We are so happy with our new home and we never would have ended up in Sarasota National had it not been for Joanne.
