There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional: integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-caliber professional network. These very qualities are hallmarks of how Matt Cannon works.

Over his 14-year real estate career, Matt has sold and closed over 500 real estate transactions. A native of Indiana, Matt moved to Florida in December 2004, where he started in the New Home Sales Division of Michael Saunders & Company and represented a new condominium development on Lido Key with prices that ranged from $1 million to over $2.2 million. In a ten-month period Matt produced over $9 million in sales of these condominiums. Matt later went to work for Lee Wetherington Homes, a custom builder in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Here, he sold new homes in Lakewood Ranch Country Club and Lake Club, and earned the position as director of sales and marketing for over 15 different communities.

The "client first" philosophy has always been Matt’s approach to real estate, which requires him to continually enhance his skills and ways of doing business. In addition, Matt has found the latest technologies enable him to extend the range of services he provides his clients.

Matt is involved with many community organizations, including the Sahib Shriners; past president and recipient of the REALTOR of YEAR Award from the Marion Area Board of REALTORs; past GRI Board of Governor and GRI Class Coordinator; current director on the board of the Sarasota Association of REALTORS; and a member of the Young Professional Group of Sarasota.
