Originally from Boston, Monica Slater earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in economics at Columbia University in New York. Since then, she has enjoyed successful positions in both New York City and Sarasota, most notably as the founder of Monica’s Best—a nationally acclaimed chocolate company—and the vice president for Godiva Chocolatier, where she earned awards for design and product development.

A multi-million dollar producing real estate associate with 25 years of experience, Monica identifies opportunities, recognizes values, and brings together buyers and sellers with similar wants and needs. Monica is a firm believer in quality customer service, and she finds that looking ahead and staying on top of the latest business and technology trends ultimately lead to gaining the trust of her clients and colleagues.

Passionate about Sarasota’s well-being, cultural offerings, history and future, Monica co-founded the Women’s Initiative of the United Way in Sarasota, which gives out over 500 pre-kindergarten scholarships a year to children in need. She also has a strong commitment to the Sarasota Community and the arts, including active support of the Van Wezel and Habitat for Humanity.
