Rich Small is the one if you are looking for a Realtor® that knows Southwest Florida.

His nearly 40-year background in commercial construction management gives buyers, sellers and investors the confidence that they can trust his real estate knowledge, contract negotiation and management skills. Beginning in 1984, Rich successfully managed commercial projects in Connecticut and New York. After moving to... more. Florida to help with his wife, Sandy’s, aging mother, Rich worked for a large commercial developer in Naples for 10 years as their construction manager and owner’s representative. Rich then worked for a prominent general contractor and developer in Fort Myers as their Director of Commercial Construction and Development, Project Manager and Senior Estimator. Both companies had projects ranging from Naples to Tampa, in the Orlando area and on the east coast of Florida.

His deep knowledge of Southwest Florida comes with a wealth of information about our location and lifestyle. Rich is always willing to answer questions and always goes the extra mile, knowing personal relationships are the key to achieving his customer’s goals. Rich is also not a stranger to other parts of Florida. After WWII, his grandparents moved from Wisconsin to the West Palm Beach area and have seen the east coast's exceptional growth firsthand.

In his free time, Rich is an avid outdoorsman and is always willing to share his knowledge and experience. His passions include boating, kayaking, fishing – especially saltwater fly fishing – wildlife photography and exploring nature trails. Additionally, his knowledge of Florida’s national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and State Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) is extensive. “To truly enjoy the outdoors, you have to be a participant, not just an observer,” he says.
