Big Brothers Big Sisters provides one-to-one mentoring services to children throughout the Gulf Coast of Florida in Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, and parts of West Charlotte counties. We provide our mentoring services to an average of 1275 children each year, with the help of over 950 wonderful adult volunteers.

Incorporated in June 1959, North Port had 87,000 residentially platted lots, and 200-plus acres available for commercial development in their 76 square miles. Recent voluntarily annexed parcels raise our acreage to nearly 103 square miles, offering significantly more space for further residential and commercial development.
