Sunny Sarasota Contributed by ThisWeekInSarasota.com
Sunny Sarasota is sizzling with activity from cool sunset cooking classes to
urban exploring in the hip downtown. Relax as ThisWeekInSarasota.com rounds
up activities for you to explore our unique city.
As Sarasota officially settles into summer, a new canvas is set for every
lifestyle under the sun. Gulf Coast aficionados acknowledge summer as
prime time for unique experiences; click here for all events in June and July.
This month Sarasota was dubbed the Culinary Coast due to foodies far and wide
flocking to the annual Forks and Corks food and wine celebration. If you
missed the grand event, never fear as restaurateurs traditionally
springboard their culinary delights into summer from this event.
Creativity abounds in the heart of the Rosemary District as Sarasota
Chef Derek Barns launches the wildly popular
“American Table Series” every Thursday night for the next ten
weeks. Read up on the schedule of the series and choose your
regions of choice.
For the remainder of June experience hot flashes, chocolate binges,
and memory loss in the widely acclaimed hit, Menopause the
Musical at the Historic Asolo. The historic theatre, adorned with
old world architecture from the 1800s, will have you cheering in your
seat and dancing in the aisles. It’s definitely not The Silent Passage
anymore! If menopause is a subject you’re not yet relating with, check
out one of the dozens of shows Starlit Sarasota is offering for the summer. After the
show head to Mattison’s City Grill for the
Sex in the City specials offered
by Sarasota’s most handsome Chef, Paul Mattison.
Live music, bay front sunsets, food and community are kicking off the summer
season at The Van Wezel, Sarasota’s performing arts hall. Pack a blanket,
cooler and the family and head to the giant bay front lawn. Check Sarasota’s
Master Calendar for the band line ups.
Whether you are in Venice, on Siesta, Longboat or Downtown, visitors are
guaranteed to spot the most festive fireworks displays in the region.
ThisWeekInSarasota.com and Michael Saunders and Company are here to
make your life easy and homework free. With the variety of choices for
the weekend of July 4th we recommend the Selby Gardens Tropical Celebration on the bay front.
After the show, Sarasota is offering a wide variety of late night extravaganza.

As always Sarasota offers a wide range of activities for any lifestyle imaginable.
In fact, the city offers over 500 events a week. To see all of them check
