We had the pleasure of meeting Francoises through a friend. My husband and I have been coming to Longboat Key for years, and love it even more since we now have a boat. It’s such a beautiful place, peaceful, luxurious, and the tropical landscape is gorgeous! I always wanted a beach house here but knew we could not afford it. When I first met Francoises, I was tagging along with a friend who was interested in finding a condo here. I listened carefully as my friend asked questions, and Francoise always had the answer, the correct answer. I knew she was not embellishing the facts about the island, because I’d been coming here for over 30 years and knew the answers myself. My husband and I decided to take a look around and Francoises found only places she knew would be within our budget, and within my parameters of “needs”. As we suspected, nothing was very appealing to me. So we dropped the idea. 10 months later, we thought maybe we would sell our home, and move, lock, stock, and barrel to Sarasota. I called Francoises, feeling a little sheepish because we didn’t have any success the last time we looked. She was very kind, understanding and encouraging. We looked at houses in Sarasota because we couldn’t afford LBK. From that experience we determined we wanted a water view, that it was necessary for our “pleasure” of being there. So we quit the housing search. At this point, we were disappointed to say the least. My husband kept up his search online, hoping to find a “needle in a haystack”. We did find a few “possibles” and continued looking. After much soul searching we had decided we really wanted to be on LBK. Again, Francoises showed us several condos we had selected. And we finally found our gem! Francoises is extremely intelligent, worldly, professional, and has a sincere ability to connect with people. She knows her craft. She understands the search for the perfect home, whoever you may be. She is thorough, punctual, and extremely personable. We enjoyed working with her and remain friends, still. Her famous motto: “Looking for a home is a process of elimination”, you have to eliminate what you don’t want. If you follow her lead, you are much more likely to find your dream home!
