BJ served twenty-two years with the United States Air Force and went on to work professionally in information technology, sales, and cyber security. A Florida resi... more.dent since 1998, this avid boater is well-poised to help buyers and sellers navigate the market – by land, sea, laptop, or air.

In the US Air Force, BJ’s first assignment was in the medical field, working in the largest pediatrics center in the USAF, where he cared for and treated children with some of the rarest childhood diseases. He then became an Aeromedical Evacuation flight medical technician, bringing his medical training and experience into the airborne environment aboard flying hospitals that transported patients or wounded personnel to and from medical facilities around the world.

Halfway through his Air Force career, he changed professions and became an Air Traffic Controller servicing and protecting the skies over Phoenix, AZ, the Philippines, and Tampa, FL. As a member of the Air Safety Council, he regularly briefed student pilots on the hazards of flying through the airspace of one of the busiest military airports in the world. As an Air Traffic Training Manager, he had the awesome privilege of flying back seat in the F16 Fighting Falcon each quarter to test his controllers from a pilot's vantage point to improve flight safety. He retired as Control Tower Chief from MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa after twenty-two years of honorable service.

BJ then pursued a career in information technology (IT) and played integral roles in an internet travel company in St. Petersburg, FL and then a data storage company for Enterprise businesses. He consistently exceeded sales quotas, led one of the top sales teams in the country, and achieved President’s Club for six consecutive years. BJ went on to serve as the Regional Partner Manager for Dell Technologies selling alongside national technology integrators that he recruited and trained to sell Dell's hardware and software portfolio and professional services.

In 2018 he became fascinated by the proliferation of cybercrimes that increase the risk to public safety and national security, so he joined Arctic Wolf Networks, a cybersecurity company, as the East Region Channel Manager responsible for 22 states. BJ feels a sense of gratification, knowing he has helped many customers in the compliance industries achieve better security for themselves and their personnel.

BJ has a Master of Aeronautical Science Degree and a Bachelor of Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and an Associates in Air Traffic Operations from the Community College of the Air Force. He was a Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges.

He has volunteered in many charitable and community organizations including the Jerry Lewis MDA telethons in the early ’80s; fundraisers for cancer; served as a Certified CPR Instructor; tutoring underprivileged, learning disabled children at Saturday Scholars in Tampa FL; on a Career Networking Committee, helping college students transition into the working world; was part of Homestead Air Force Base disaster support/relief after Hurricane Andrew; with the Wounded Warrior Project; and he is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Port Charlotte.

BJ moved to Port Charlotte in 2004 where he lives with his wife, Diane, and two Havanese dogs, Izzy and Austin. He has four adult children – spread between Arizona and Florida. BJ is an avid boater and saltwater fisherman and knows the canals, flats, backwaters, estuary, and boatable waters of Charlotte Harbor and surrounding areas like the back of his hand.
