Ken and his partner, Margo Love Story, are annually one of the leading agent teams for Michaels Saunders & Co. on Anna Maria Island and focus on the barrier islands and Sarasota. Ken and his partner are Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialists and earned the CLHMS Million Dollar Guild designation. Ken’s familiarity with Florida’s Gulf Coast and the Sarasota/Bradenton markets began in 1981 when, over the ensuing years, he managed site selection and feasibility projects for hotel and residential multi-family developments in the area. His relatives also built their homes in Sarasota and Anna Maria in 1981. In 2014 Ken moved from the Atlanta area to Anna Maria Island where he owned, managed, and leased a rental vacation property. He enjoys the many water sports that local island life offers and the extraordinary experience that the Gulf Coast presents every sunrise and sunset. He loves the low-key friendly vibe, low rise buildings, and water wonderland of Anna Maria Island. AMI has been discovered but not changed. It’s close to everything you might want, but not too close.
Prior to his relocation to Florida’s Gulf Coast, Ken’s career includes commercial and residential multi-family real estate sales and serving as President of multiple subsidiaries for a national financial services company. There he was responsible for leading a team that developed, managed, and asset managed a billion-dollar portfolio of diversified real estate properties located in the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe. Ken has lectured at the Income Property School of the Mortgage Bankers of America and the Urban Land Institute.
Ken was born in California, raised in Philadelphia, and lived in major cities around the country. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University’s School of Business. Ken played football in college and was drafted by the New York Giants. In 2003, he published a biography titled The Humility of Greatness, about a World War II hero and NFL legend.
