Bradenton Riverwalk Holiday of the Arts Festival

Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Bradenton Riverwalk at 452 3rd Avenue West | Bradenton

The Annual Bradenton Riverwalk Holiday of the Arts Festival showcases original artwork by more than 100 artisans from throughout Florida and across the United States. Together these artisans will create an outdoor gallery of stunning, original and handmade art from works in painting, photography, sculpture, metalwork, digital art, jewelry, glass, ceramics, woodworking, mixed-media, fiber art, metalwork and much more. Admission is free.

An Old Florida Christmas

Saturday, December 10

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Manatee Village Historical Park at 1404 Manatee Avenue East | Bradenton

Experience an old-fashioned Florida holiday celebration featuring food, crafts, music and vendors selling handmade goods. Manatee Village staff and volunteers will also be offering free “make and take” seasonal crafts.

Winter Nights Under the Lights

Sarasota area

St. Armands Circle Winter Spectacular

Friday, November 18 through Tuesday, January 3

4 to 9 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays | Noon to 9 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays | St. Armands Circle

A family-fun holiday experience for all ages, the Circle’s celebration features ice-skating, festive rides, interactive holiday activities and a fantastic lineup of free local entertainment. The atmosphere of the park will be illuminated by an incredible display of holiday lights, including the city’s magnificent 60-foot Christmas tree.

Light Up Siesta Key and Village Holiday Parade

Saturday, November 26

5 to 9 p.m. | Siesta Key

The 37th annual Light Up Siesta Key and Village Holiday Parade will begin at the intersection of Avenida del Mare and Beach Road at 5:30 p.m. and travel north on Beach Road onto Ocean Blvd and into the Siesta Key Village. Many businesses and local groups will be participating in the parade, while shops and restaurants will offer refreshments and special holiday bargains from 5 to 9 p.m. Santa will arrive at the Siesta Center immediately following the parade to greet children. Photos may be taken with Santa, free of charge. Gift bags provided by Beach Bazaar are offered for the first 250 kids to visit Santa. Free public transportation will be available from Siesta Breeze Trolley from Turtle Beach to the Village with multiple stops along the route, including Siesta Beach. Kris Kringle Holiday Market

Saturday, November 26

Noon to 7 p.m. | 1175 North Washington Boulevard | Sarasota

The annual indoor/outdoor Kris Kringle Holiday Market is inspired by the 700-year-old tradition of open-air Christmas markets in Europe. Merchants and artists will inspire and delight with festive holiday décor, unique gifts, and expertly crafted treasures. Enjoy live music, food truck fare and adult beverages from 3 to 7 p.m.

Downtown Sarasota Christmas Tree Lighting

6 to 8 p.m. | Five Points Park at 1 Central Avenue | Sarasota

Downtown Sarasota will host its annual Christmas tree lighting free to the public. Enjoy refreshments, music and photos with Santa. The tree will be lit at 7 p.m.

Holiday Splendor

Thursday, December 1, 8 and 15, 2022

5 to 8 p.m. | The Ringling at 5401 Bay Shore Road | Sarasota

Support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots as local schools will provide musical entertainment on the Bolger Campiello. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. All venues will be open for self-touring, including the Museum of Art, Ca’ d’Zan, and the Circus Museum.

Admission to this event is free with one unwrapped toy per person. Regular admission will apply without a toy donation at $15 per adult and $5 per child. Guests are encouraged to shop in the Museum Store, which has a large selection of toys under $20. Please enter through the Visitors Pavilion.

Gingerbread Festival

Thursday, December 1 through Monday, December 19

The Mall at University Town Center – Upper Level | Sarasota

The Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida is hosting their 14th annual Gingerbread Festival and will be displayed in conjunction with the UTC Festival of Trees in various areas along the upper level of the mall.

Gingerbread kits are free for schools, classrooms, youth-serving nonprofits, Girl Scout troops and youth groups – limit one per group. Additional kits are available for $10; $25 for community groups and other nonprofit organizations; and $50 for businesses.

Sarasota Holiday Arts & Crafts Festival

Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 11

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | J.D. Hamel Park at 199 Bayfront Drive | Sarasota

The Sarasota Holiday Arts & Crafts Festival showcases original works by artisans from throughout Florida and across the United States. Holiday Boat Parade of Lights on Sarasota Bay

6 p.m. | Downtown Sarasota

Lights in Bloom®

Select nights Saturday, December 10 through Thursday, January 5

6:30 to 9 p.m. | Marie Selby Botanical Gardens at 1534 Mound Street | Sarasota

Lights in Bloom® features more than two million lights illuminating the gardens and walkways. Food is available for purchase from the Michael’s on East grill, including a cash bar. Hands on Hanukkah

Sarasota

Temple Sinai hosts this community event taking place around town during five of the eight nights of Hanukkah. Venice Holiday Parade

Saturday, November 26

5:30 p.m. | Downtown Venice

Pre-parade entertainment will begin at 5:30 p.m. in two locations — the corner of Harbor Drive and West Venice Avenue and the corner of Nokomis Avenue and West Venice Avenue. Jingle Jam

Festival of Lights

Daily | Fisherman’s Village | Punta Gorda

​Daily viewing of more than one million lights and holiday-themed decorations adorning the inside and outside of Fishermen’s Village. Special features include visits with Santa, the Grinch and live holiday entertainment. Free admission.

Gardens Aglow

Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in December

6 to 9 p.m. | Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens at 5827 Riverside Drive | Punta Gorda
