The Trend in Suncoast’s Real Estate – Still Hot and Getting Hotter.
The month of August in Florida is known for its notoriously hot weather. As Floridians – whether we’re born here or have found our way to paradise decades ago from the Midwest – or last year from the Big Apple – the weather is something we all get used to.
Well, something else we’re all getting used to is the hot trend and interest in Suncoast real estate during the summer months. The number of search queries on MichaelSaunders.com for August 2020 were up 27% from August of 2019.
What accounts for that significant number?
Well there are many factors – but it would be safe to presume that many of that heightened interest can be attributed to the Covid-19 times we are living in. Before we would have our usual summer traffic from the I-75 Corridor, and the Europeans escaping their continent for the value and beauty of our beaches and sunshine. But today is different.
Now the folks are coming from all parts of America – especially the big cities to escape and find peace of mind in our mix of turquoise shores, fresh air and sunshine. And that’s why the market is hot and why some of the following properties are trending hotter than normal.
Let’s take a look at some homes trending under $1 million.
A jewel for boaters and beach lovers alike is the coastal community of Harbor Isle. Wide open spaces and 175 acres of nature to explore nearby and Anna Maria Island a short bike ride away – make this home at 315 Sapphire Lake Drive offered by Cheryl Roberts – a candidate for “Zen” home of the year.
Siesta Key is the world’s worst kept secret for its magnificent beaches and laidback lifestyle. At 8164 Gabanna Drive, Esplanade by Siesta Key, offers an exquisite home in a wonderful community – just a mile from the world’s most beautiful beach. Don’t tell everyone – let this be our secret. Contact listing agent Toni Turner for the details and discover your slice of Siesta on the mainland.
Trending at over $1 million are two properties that couldn’t be more different.
A new modern penthouse and developer’s dream, represented by Jonathan Abrams at 300 S. Pineapple in the heart of downtown Sarasota, offers those who love the high-rise life with an airy Florida perspective on downtown living.
On the other side of the world – an island-style home in the quaint “Old Florida” town of Boca Grande. Deeded beach access and value. A home priced well under many of your neighbors’ homes that sell in the $3-10 million range. Listed by Brett Hendricks, this home at 4520 45th Street West is truly out of this world.
And isn’t that what many of us want?
Another world. A place to escape, enjoy, relax and breathe.
Punta Gorda offers a unique place to get away from it all. An enclave for nature lovers seeking solitude and discovery on walking trails or bike paths and ultimately a desire be one with nature. Boating, sailing, and anglers will find common ground with their golfing neighbors. Both will be able to share Florida stories – of their big catch on the Gulf – or the big put they made on the 18th green while golfing.
John Ludden, from our Punta Gorda – Taylor Street office, can’t contain the smile on his face when the subject turns to Punta Gorda sighting the “Magnificent Historic Boca Grande or settle for laid back time on Cabbage Key, or yet still avail of the nature tour of the Peace River. Punta Gorda offers its residents and visitors a place to relax and take in the sights.”
Punta Gorda a short drive away from Sarasota and millions of miles away from the rest of the world.
Palmer Ranch is an old standby community that was ahead of its time – but is forever timeless offering a variety of communities that fit virtually every lifestyle. Condos, villas, townhome or single-family home – Palmer Ranch has something for everyone. Situated close to Siesta Key and just minutes from Downtown – Palmer Ranch’s location has been the envy of everyone seeking a centralized Sarasota location.
In terms of luxury – The Oaks Club is second to none. It defines luxury with three premier communities, laid out intelligently over sprawling grounds and a private, member owned country club that have helped it attain national and international prestige. Joan Williams, of the Palmer Ranch office, points out noteworthy awards the community and Club have amassed The Distinguished Emerald Residential County Club of the World award; The America’s Healthiest Clubs award, and the Audubon International Certified award.
Yes, there is something for every taste and lifestyle.
Award winning communities and places to just kick back and watch world class sunsets.
Our area provides it all. The heat in August. Something that we Floridians are used to – because we know the cool breezes of November are coming – just in time to fan the flames of a hot real estate market.
