With the holidays approaching, we feel a renewed sense of how important it is to give to others. At Michael Saunders & Company, our agents and staff are giving year-round to the MSC Foundation. Voluntarily donating a portion of their real estate commissions or contributing throughout the year, the people at MSC aim to make a difference in the communities where we live and work. From scholarships to suppers, two of the organizations that have benefited from the MSC Foundation are the Women’s Sertoma Club of Venice and Englewood Meals on Wheels.
Women’s Sertoma Club of Venice, Inc.
This Venice based organization exists for the “high and noble purpose of service to mankind by communication of the thoughts, ideas, and concepts to accelerate human progress in health, education, freedom and democracy”. Every year, the club organizes and sponsors the Sun Fiesta which celebrates the community of Venice, arts and crafts, and local musical talents. What’s more, the winner of the Sun Fiesta Idol competition receives a scholarship.
Englewood Meals on Wheels
The Meals on Wheels Association of America provides over one million meals to seniors who need them every day. Their goal is to deliver a nutritious meal, a caring smile, and to help ensure that 2.5 million seniors live healthily, safely, and independently in their homes each year. The Englewood center assists the many seniors who need support along the Gulf Coast.
