Originally from Detroit, Michigan, B.J. Ratigan earned his bachelor’s degree from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he also played varsity baseball, soccer and hockey. On the personal side, his interests include spending time with his family—including three grandsons—plus sports, fishing, reading and flying, as he is licensed as a commercial and seaplane pilot—an interest he developed while serving in Vietnam in the late ‘60s. He also spends time as a volunteer with the American Red Cross in Sarasota, and disabled veterans at the VA hospital in Bay Pines, Florida.
