Raised in Madison, NJ, Michael received a degree in business administration from St. Michael’s College in Vermont and moved to Sarasota in 1982, his wife Katie’s hometown, when he joined Michael Saunders & Company. Community service is important to him, and he has been active in several local organizations, serving as board chair, president, and committee member, generally providing support for Sarasota’s youth and health and human services groups. He is also a multiple year president of his condominium association.
