Hilary Broadway, a dynamic, results-driven real estate leader known for her exceptional sales coaching and talent development skills, joined Michael Saunders & Company as Managing Broker of its flagship Main Street office in January 2024. Hilary previously worked for Allen Tate Real Estate in Charlotte, NC, for 28 years – 17 years as a Realtor® and the past 11 years as a Branch Leader/Broker-in-Charge.
Hilary managed four Charlotte area branch offices from 2012-2023, establishing an impressive record of success in each location. She consistently boosted agent production through one-on-one and group coaching, leading to a substantial increase in company profit. In her most recent role as a branch leader in 2022-2023, Hilary led the remarkable turnaround of an office facing declining profits after the departure of high-profile agents. Within the first six months, she recruited two former agents, recovering $10 million in lost production. Her additional coaching efforts empowered agents to significantly increase their year-over-year sales.
Beyond her achievements with top-performing Realtors®, Hilary has a track record of hiring, training and coaching newly licensed agents, many of whom went on to become award-winning top producers. In 2017, she was tasked with overseeing the revamping of the company's professional development department while successfully managing two branches with 70-plus agents. As a Broker and Realtor® from 1995-2012, Hilary generated over $100 million in closed sales volume and consistently received top performer awards. During her tenure as a branch leader, she was also recognized with numerous company and business community awards.
Hilary said she was drawn to Michael Saunders & Company because, like her former brokerage, it is an independent, locally owned firm with powerful global connections through its affiliation with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. Michael Saunders & Company's stellar reputation for quality and professionalism, coupled with Sarasota's vibrant real estate market and lifestyle, were key factors in her decision to lead the Main Street office. The remarkable legacy of CEO Michael Saunders, who founded the firm nearly 50 years ago and transformed it into the top independent brokerage in the region, was also a significant factor.
Her extensive community involvement includes a variety of leadership roles in state and regional Realtor® associations, professional organizations and local business groups in North Carolina. Most recently, she was a member of the Region 8 Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® and served as a mediator and ombudsman. She was also a mediator and longtime member of the Professional Standards Committee for the Canopy Realtor& Association in Charlotte, and served on Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce's Executive Committee for six years, chairing its Executive Board of Directors in 2014.
A lifelong resident of Charlotte, Hilary and her husband, Greg, have a daughter who attends the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Hilary is excited to explore Sarasota’s thriving downtown surrounding her office, including local restaurants and theaters.
