An impressive career in finance, real estate, distribution, and business led Steve to the well-rounded Realtor he is today. The oldest of 11 children from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Steve grew up knowing that nothing compares to earning your success. After becoming a Licensed Certified Public Accountant, he worked for privately-held companies, working his way up from controller and chief financial accountant to vice president of finance and CEO. A drive that was equally matched by his ability and work ethic, Steve began dabbling in entrepreneurship by growing two small businesses which he eventually sold. While acquiring commercial properties and finding suitable tenants, he shifted his focus and started his own company, National Recreation Systems, where he guided the entire Company in the manufacturing, distribution, and installation of spectator seating products across the USA and many foreign countries. After 23 successful years of business, Steve decided to sell the company to a Wall Street conglomerate in 2011, making a permanent move to his seasonal Florida home for early retirement.

Like many northerners who find their way to the temperate climate of the Gulf Coast, Steve, his wife Karen of 35 years, and their now-adult children spend as much time as possible outdoors. Having been an active resident of Sarasota for over 25 years, Steve is very familiar with the area and all of its amenities. A life of athletics and wellness, Steve formerly served in the U.S. Navy as a Second Class Petty Officer and trained in Judo with members of the Japanese Olympic Team. He has since maintained this level of activity on the public beach tennis courts of Siesta Key, where he plays doubles first thing in the morning. When not assisting buyers and sellers you can also find him out boating with friends – anything that gets him on the water,and enjoying the paradise where his entire family now lives.
