We’re snowbirds who just made the decision a few months ago to buy a seasonal home in Sarasota. We had met Michael James last year when we wandered into his open house while out for a walk in Arlington Park and kept his card because we were impressed with how easy he was to talk to and how well he knew the neighborhoods close to downtown Sarasota. Michael James is the most amazing young man. He not only is knowledgeable about the real estate business, but he is also a great human being. I always felt comfortable expressing my opinions and expectations for the sale of this “retirement" home. Even when he knew my expectations were unrealistic, he listened very carefully and expressed his concerns in a very conversational manner so I felt heard and understood. We have bought and sold properties for over 30 years, and have worked with many real estate agents. Michael is one of the best! He always listened carefully to what we wanted, he responded immediately to all of our emails and questions, and he took a lot of time patiently showing us properties around Sarasota. Michael was at the desk in your Main Street offices when we stopped by the make some initial inquiries about finding a condo downtown. He noted down our preferences and very soon thereafter began sending listings of properties that met our requirements. He was efficient in setting up showings and he was patient and supportive as we attempted to assess the pluses and minuses which would figure in our final decision. Michael was always quite pleasant and accommodating during the process of making that decision. When we did, documents were filed in a timely fashion, and our closing was scheduled in accordance with our preferences. We feel quite fortunate to have met Michael that first Saturday and to have had him as our agent from then until we closed.

After contacting several RE agents in the Sarasota area (none of which were working out), we contacted Michael James, whom we had read about from a Top Agents website. The first thing Michael did was call to discuss exactly what our wants and needs are, then he set up a portal to provide us with daily updates of available properties within the potential areas we wanted to buy. Michael's portal generated houses that were perfect for what we wanted! As we live out-of-state, we needed to make the long trip to Sarasota to view these properties and choose one to purchase. Michael knew we had a limited time frame, and made himself available to view the potential properties on our list. After seeing about 14 houses in only 3 days, we found the perfect house for us! But, hMichael didn't stop there. During contract negotiations, he completed a property comparison analysis, and he helped us determine an appropriate price to offer the sellers, which they accepted fully with no renegotiating =) We have bought and sold properties for over 30 years, and have worked with many real estate agents.
