When we contacted Joanne and Jim to show us a house, they bent over backwards to help us when it was convenient for us. When we saw and liked the house, but didn’t like how the kitchen countertop as to its design, they set up an appointment with Joanne’s friend who had a similar floorplan and kitchen design, so I could see what could be done to effectively alter the countertop design. Then of course it didn’t stop there, they made sure all inspections were done and of course they were there during all inspections. They also set us up with the Michael Saunders' mortgage company, helped us through that, made sure that I got to the closing, and then showed up at the house after closing to help get things set up. They even went and bought pizza so we could have our first meal in our new home. You could not find two people that would do more than what they did for us when buying a house.

I worked with Joanne and Jim Hammer as I had known them since I arrived in Venice 6 years ago. I selected them because I trusted them to handle a dual closing which was in itself a challenge. The transition went well and both Jim and Joanne displayed their usual competency and attention to detail, which in my case was definitely required.

My wife and I decided to build in Venice last year. We decided to look where Jim happened to be working. It was just luck that when we came in the office Jim was the first person to greet us and therefore would be our contact person. I have been in sales all of my life and have pretty good instincts on people. After sitting down with Jim and telling him what our desires were, he immediately knew what we would be interested in and which houses to show us. He was right and we committed to building our new Florida home. My first instincts were totally correct. We were dealing with a true professional. Some sales people might have backed off helping us during the building process, not Jim. He went above and beyond his job in helping us with questions about our new house, our new community, and our new city. I very quickly knew I could count on him getting back to us in a timely manner and it would be spot on to our needs. In summary, Jim was/is our real estate person and now he is a true friend as well. Jim and Joanne Hammar are quality people who you can trust to take care of you and do it right the first time.
