As of August 2022, John had achieved more than $400 million in sales volume in his career. With $100 million in sales the last two years, he is among Englewood’s top five agents in sales volume. John also was named to the 2022 RealTrends America's Best Real Estate Professionals, which honors the top 1.5% of 1.6 million Realtors® in the U.S., ranking #201 among all agents in Florida.

John graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in Ohio in 1997 and began working in sales for Compuware Corp in Detroit, Mich. There, he fine-tuned an innate sales ability before transitioning into the company’s regional sales office in Chicago, Ill. as an outside mainframe sales rep. Tiring of the cold winters in the Midwest, and after doing some real estate business on the East Coast of Florida, John relocated to Boca Grande in 2004 to pursue a full-time career in real estate. Upon arrival, he hit the ground running and immediately obtained his license followed by a broker associate license in 2006.

In 2013, John became a partner with Brett Hendricks in Hendricks, Harms & Associates, where he flourished in the industry, helping people discover their slice of paradise along the way. The brokerage’s vision of providing best-in-class customer service led them to join forces with Michael Saunders & Company in 2019 to continue strengthening the core business with innovative marketing strategies and administrative support.

John and his wife, Patricia, live in Placida with their 4-year-old son, Remington. Patricia has worked at the Boca Grande Health Clinic since 2010.
