After graduating summa cum laude with a double major in Fashion Design and Illustration from State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Michelle’s hard work and perseverance were rewarded with a career as a fashion designer with major brands. Working closely with manufacturers provided frequent opportunities for travel to Hong Kong and Europe.
In her early 20s, Michelle became a founding member of an original pop/punk band, serving a dual role as a musician and the group’s booking agent for numerous venues throughout the U.S. and Canada. Later on, while raising two young children in Sarasota, she created a suburban aquaponic organic vegetable farm, hosting university student interns from France, Belgium and Germany and teaching them about sustainability. She also served on the Advisory Board of the Sarasota County Agricultural Extension and successfully petitioned the County Commission to change its policy and allow all local growers to sell at the farmer’s market.

I didn't know Michelle Silva very well before asking her to show me a property, but I liked her knowledge of Sarasota and her friendly personality so I took a chance and am so glad I did! I can't imagine how I could have had a better experience with a realtor. She was helpful in every way necessary to negotiate and purchase a home, working to get the deal done quickly and easily and providing all the local folks necessary (inspector, real estate attorney,and title company, etc.). Michelle Silva was such a blessing to our Siesta Key condo purchasing experience. Michelle was very patient. She worked tirelessly through the entire process with us, overcoming the obstacles of a reluctant seller who refused to honor deadlines. Michelle was great from day one!! She found us the perfect house in two days since we were coming from Arizona we had very little time to find a house, but she understood our needs right away, she looked hard for a place and found it!!
