My family has purchased and sold a number of properties on Siesta Key - both homes and investment properties. After working the first time with Ethel and Harvey back in 2012, there was and is no other real estate professionals we would work other than Ethel (and Mina). Their professionalism, their sound advice and their tireless efforts on behalf of their clients cannot be understated. We strongly recommend their services to anyone that asks. My sisters and I want to thank Ethel Lovelace and her team for the experience of selling our mother’s home after her passing. Our mother knew Ethel and had great respect for her. We were so impressed with Ethel's expertise, knowledge, and skillset and for making the selling process smooth and easy to understand for us in our difficult time. Ethel gave us excellent guidance and responsive communication the whole way. She is so professional and outstanding; we cannot express the gratitude we had working with her. We were so impressed with how quickly the property was sold; we received an offer on the home the first day it was listed and closed on it in record time. In 2023 our family decided to sell the condominium that had been in the family for 40 years. Being Canadian we had to deal with the entire process remotely and we needed to rely on a real estate team that could handle all the details and still keep us informed. Ethel, Mina and their team took on all challenges and details to ensure our condo sold quickly and for top dollar.Mina’s recommendations for staging made a huge difference in the presentation of our condo. Her staging was practical and she quickly identified key things to keep costs to a minimum. She contributed her time to making it happen as quickly as possible and went over and above scheduling contractors to accommodate our occupancy. Ethel was able to get us on the market when it suited our schedule resulting in open houses that were well attended and generated offers within hours. The condo sold in a matter of days above asking price.Their team was also very helpful for us being out of country owners. They provided all the information we needed to guide us in the process and connect us with professional support such as accountants and title lawyers.The selling of our family condo was done with professionalism and ease and we were able to generate a great offer in only a few days. Ethel Lovelace was genuine, friendly and professional at our first meeting at Windward Passage condominium complex. Ethel, Mina, Harvey and staff executed the sale of two condos in our building...Impressed...Ethel was engaged. Her performance was immediate, tireless, and successful. Keeping me informed as to potential buyers at all times, executing, comparisons, competitive marketing and performing other functions was her mark of success. Difficult times but positive result. My husband and I live out of state and in 2016 we were in the market to look for a vacation home on Siesta Key. Thanks to the detailed biographies on the Michael Saunders website, we were able to find the right agent -- Ethel Lovelace and make an appointment with her. We had one week to find a home. To best serve us, Ethel listened to our thoughts and asked very good questions. She is familiar with Siesta Key, and she has a detailed knowledge of the communities on the Key. She was able to give us a good overview of each of the dozen+ homes/communities we looked at that week. Her expertise was critical in helping us find the right home. In fact, we chose to buy the very first home Ethel showed us. She nailed it! Ethel guided us through the negations and contract process, and she was able to provide us with local contacts for a mortgage, insurance, etcetera. Because of her oversight of the many details, our (remote) closing was a breeze. She even provided us with recommendations for furniture, household accessories and great restaurants in the area. We have made many wonderful memories in our ‘home away from home’ and are incredibly happy with our purchase, and we truly have Ethel to thank for this. This is not the end of our story….in late 2021 we asked Ethel and her team to help us narrow our search for a home in a golf community in the Sarasota area in which to eventually retire. Much to our delight, we found the perfect home and we were under contract for our ‘forever home’ within a month. I greatly appreciate having had your superb team of Ethel & Harvey Lovelace and Mina Johnson working to sell my condominium. And work they did! The apartment was lovely but did not show well. They furnished it in a simple, yet elegant manner and spent hours correcting small flaws. Their attention to detail also conveyed their marketing strategies and negotiation skills. They are consummate professionals and such pleasant people to work with. “We start with listening” is not simply their motto, but their way of bringing trust and confidence to whomever they represent. They are a true dream team, and I shall recommend them to all I know who are thinking of selling or buying in Sarasota.
