My husband and I live out of state and in 2016 we were in the market to look for a vacation home on Siesta Key. Thanks to the detailed biographies on the Michael Saunders website, we were able to find the right agent -- Ethel Lovelace and make an appointment with her. We had one week to find a home. To best serve us, Ethel listened to our thoughts and asked very good questions. She is familiar with Siesta Key, and she has a detailed knowledge of the communities on the Key. She was able to give us a good overview of each of the dozen+ homes/communities we looked at that week. Her expertise was critical in helping us find the right home. In fact, we chose to buy the very first home Ethel showed us. She nailed it! Ethel guided us through the negations and contract process, and she was able to provide us with local contacts for a mortgage, insurance, etcetera. Because of her oversight of the many details, our (remote) closing was a breeze. She even provided us with recommendations for furniture, household accessories and great restaurants in the area. We have made many wonderful memories in our ‘home away from home’ and are incredibly happy with our purchase, and we truly have Ethel to thank for this. This is not the end of our story….in late 2021 we asked Ethel and her team to help us narrow our search for a home in a golf community in the Sarasota area in which to eventually retire. My husband and I live out of state but have a vacation condominium on Siesta Key that we purchased in 2016 with the superb help of Ethel Lovelace. In late 2021 we reached out to Ethel and her team to help us narrow our search for a home in a golf community in the Sarasota area in which to eventually retire. That is when we had the golden opportunity to meet Mina Johnson. Mina took us to look at homes in different golf communities to help us determine which community best fit our needs. Thanks to Mina’s expert knowledge of the local golf communities and her experience and expertise in renovating homes we were able to find the right home, for the right price, in the right community. Our new home will need a makeover, but with Mina’s input we were able to envision the possibility of renovating and turning this into a beautiful home for us to enjoy for the rest of our lives. Mina was instrumental in evaluating the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the home and she worked tirelessly with the selling agent to negotiate the sales details and subsequent lease-back. I greatly appreciate having had your superb team of Ethel & Harvey Lovelace and Mina Johnson working to sell my condominium. And work they did! The apartment was lovely but did not show well. They furnished it in a simple, yet elegant manner and spent hours correcting small flaws. Their attention to detail also conveyed their marketing strategies and negotiation skills. They are consummate professionals and such pleasant people to work with. “We start with listening” is not simply their motto, but their way of bringing trust and confidence to whomever they represent. They are a true dream team, and I shall recommend them to all I know who are thinking of selling or buying in Sarasota.

Ethel and her team were very responsive to our needs when we sold our condo at Dolphin Bay a year and a half ago. They always gave the feed back on the showings promptly and were helpful in the staging process. We rate them as excellent.

There are no words to describe how grateful I am for Harvey and Ethel‘s help and helping my stepmom find her happy place after losing my father and her husband after 30+ years of marriage. They hand held her through the top dollar, “As Is” sale of her home in Siesta Key and then helped her with anything and everything she could have possibly needed. They went over the top making sure her move was seamless and as easy as possible. They also helped her find the perfect waterfront condo in downtown Sarasota. And again they went above and beyond to make that move an easy transition. When the owners wanted her to move out after only one year’s rental, they helped us find another unit in the building so that her move would be less stressful. And again they went above and beyond. When I say above and beyond, I am referring to things like helping her fix cabinets, organize service people, fix a broken dryer, and so much more – the list was endless. And they responded quickly to each and everyone one of her calls, even though it wasn’t within the purview of renting, selling or buying a new home.
