MaryHelen Gaffney was a lifelong Bergen County, NJ resident until 2020. Once she and her husband, John found Southwest FL, they never looked back. She now happily calls Placida, FL her home. Once her children were grown she relocated to Florida and it was time to fulfill her aspirations. MaryHelen loves to cook and enjoys sampling dishes at all the restaurants the area has to offer. Boca Grande is very close to her home, so she has quickly grown attached to the quaint downtown shops, galleries, and especially dining at Scarpa’s, her favorite Italian spot. Shelling, kayaking and fishing have become her favorite activities. Nothing beats those turquoise waters for lazing around in the sun and catching some vitamin sea!
