Michael Saunders & Company agents and staff of the Punta Gorda and Burnt Store Offices present a local organization with an MSC Foundation grant contribution during the 2019 mid-year distribution cycle.
The MSC Foundation is currently conducting its mid-year grant distribution cycle for 2019, providing 59 non-profit organizations throughout the Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties with $50,750 collectively. Seventeen organizations were new to the Foundation’s efforts.
MSC Foundation by the numbers since 2011
Since launching in 2011, the MSC Foundation has provided $782,290 to 202 organizations across our region – ranging from youth and family services to underserved arts and literacy programs. The goal for the Foundation is to reach $1,000,000 in grant funds by 2020 to celebrate its 10th year. See a complete list of organizations helped by the Foundation here. With contributions from the more than 650 agents and 120 employees, the selected organizations fulfilled the MSC Foundation’s mission to fund community efforts offering shelter, sustenance, education and a path to self-sufficiency. https://youtu.be/Pe6dGhjh92M Over the course of the next several weeks, organizations will receive contributions by each Michael Saunders & Company office for that area. Michael Saunders & Company was featured as one of the “Best Companies That Give Back for 2019” by SRQ Magazine (see pg. 86). Agents and employees that wish to participate have the option of giving by way of their salary, sales commission or through one-time donations throughout each cycle. They can then nominate organizations to the Board of Directors that oversees the day-to-day management of the Foundation and reviews donation requests. The next grant cycle selections will take place November through December of this year.
