It is difficult to rate Marlene with the five star system, as she is well above the highest star offered. We have had many negotiations thru Marlene, both as Sellers and as Buyers. She is courteous, patient, understanding and extremely professional. If you are her client, she has your interests foremost secondary to any financial reward she would realize. When we sold our Island Reef condo thru Marlene, I was recovering from a fractured femur. The Buyers wanted the condo immediately. Marlene and George helped us thru the process of removing the personal items and finding storage until we could transfer them. When we were looking for another condo in the Sarasota area, I was in a wheelchair from an accident. Marlene and George drove us around to look at many properties and George lifted the wheelchair in and out of their SUV more times than I care to mention. We did indeed find the "ideal" condo in Sarasota, had an accepted offer. However, when we looked thru condo association documents, and spoke with the President of the association, we discovered that the development was not as welcoming as we had hoped. Marlene would have reaped a tidy commission on the sale, but she stood behind us every step of the way. We have never had a realtor step up to the plate and back us in this manner. Finally....A WORD OF CAUTION....If YOU DO NOT USE MARLENE AS YOUR REALTOR, you have done an enormous injustice to yourselves and your peace of mind.

We were first time buyers on Siesta Key when we met Marlene who had listed an Island Reef condo which we purchased. From the moment we met her we wished she were our agent. Professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Over a long career which has taken us many places we've bought and sold over ten residential properties. Marlene is in the top 5% of realtors we've met and many of them have been quite good. We will use Marlene to sell our Island Reef property when it's time and she will also be our agent if we buy another local property.

We engaged Marlene Marshall to sell our investment condo at Island Reef on Siesta Key. Marlene is a seasoned professional and not only did she help us quickly update and stage the condo for sale, but she represented our interests phenomenally throughout the transaction. Her husband/partner George also lent his talents to the "make ready" process and, due to their excellent teamwork, everything went smoothly and was a positive experience -- we sold in 30 days at an excellent price! In late May 2014, my wife and I visited with several realtors, including Marlene Marshall, with the purpose of selecting a realtor to represent us in the sale of our condo in the Sunrise Cove Condominium complex on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida. The other realtors proposed a similar selling price based on the selling price of a condo in the same complex, basically the same unit as ours, and other similar units for sale in the area. We did not think this was unreasonable and we would net close to the amount I wanted to get after all expenses. Marlene said our unit should not be compared to the other unit in the complex because it offered much more (updated, showed better, etc.). She suggested a selling price that was significantly more than the other realtors proposed. Within days Marlene received a legitimate cash offer for the amount of the listing. We closed within 30 days & ended up with a good deal more cash in pocket than we would have received if we went with one of the other realtors we interviewed.

Marlene is a total pro and superb to work with in all regards-- her market knowledge, pricing, negotiating, paperwork and closing skills-- all TOP NOTCH. She is warm and personable but is very efficient and doesn't waste clients' time. She zero'd right in our needs and made our remote purchase easy.

Marlene found us the home on Siesta Key I've wanted since I was 7 years old. And when we wanted to make some improvements, she and George helped with that also. Now we're looking forward to retiring and living there full-time. Thank you both for your professionalism!

Over the years, my husband and I have bought, sold, and bought again working with Marlene. Her knowledge of the local market is excellent, and she's always available to answer questions or discuss concerns. In a tough market, working with an experienced agent is critical, and Marlene has that experience. We recently purchased a larger condo in Siesta Key working with Marlene, and found ourselves in a multiple offer situation. Marlene was quick on her feet, advised us on the best way to proceed, and secured the deal. We worked with Marlene to find our retirement home and we had a lot of demands. Nothing we asked of her was overlooked. She was prompt with her responses whenever we had any questions and never made us feel as if we were being unreasonable.
