It's impossible to imagine a real estate agent who could have been more helpful or suitable for my individual needs than Debra Pitell-Hauge. With her assistance, I have purchased three and sold two houses within the past eight years. It was this last sale and purchase that challenged both of us to our limits. The house I was selling had a contract that fell through due to unbelievably difficult and demanding Buyers. That resulted in further renovations before the house could be listed a second time, which then resulted in a sale. Simultaneously, I had to back out of a contract on the house I was trying to purchase when the Inspector found serious structural issues with which the owner refused to manage in a timely fashion. Through all of this, Debra was always there, advising the next step or course of action and offering comfort and encouragement when my spirits began to sag. I would highly recommend Debra Pitell-Hauge as a knowledgeable, friendly, helpful guide through the real estate process.

Debra came to us highly recommended and, after a bad experience with an agent from another agency, we were extremely impressed. When it came time to sell our home, we reached out to Debra as the only person we would trust with such an important decision. We are happy to say that she did not disappoint!Debra is the ultimate professional, but more than that is one of a kind. When we starting to plan for our sale, we scheduled a meeting with Debra who came to our home to discuss our options. It was clear to us that Debra had our best interest in mind and not just selling the house for a commission. Having also bought the house with Debra, she had detailed notes and paperwork from the purchased which helped to better market the home and to speed along the process. Debra’s attention to detail helped us to maximize our profits and lessen our stress about the process. Debra was always available for us and treated us as if we were her only clients. Debra persevered through two separate listings of the same property, over the past two years, to achieve the proper price for our beautiful condo on the # 1 beach in America. She never discouraged us that we shouldn’t be listing our condo, at the price we were wanting to achieve. To date, the condo’s in the Grand Tower at the PBC has been priced to generate a quick sale. The proof has been, that they sell within a few days of being listed. This sale will finally raise the bar for future sales.When an offer came, Debra worked with the buyer to come to a satisfactory price for both parties.Debra builds a real rapport with the buyer and when an extension for the closing was required, the buyer was very agreeable. Debra handled all details pertaining to the sale which we appreciated immensely as we do not live in the Sarasota area for the summer.We are truly satisfied with Debra’s performance as our real estate agent.We will be recommending Debra to all our friends and acquaintances in the Sarasota Area.

Because of my husband’s ill health, I decided in January to look for a one story villa to replace our three story Siesta Key home. I have many friends who sell real estate, but didn’t want to create bad feelings by choosing one of them over the others. My brother had met Debra Pitell-Hauge at an event in their neighborhood, and suggested I retain her, which I did. In early January, Debra quickly found several villas for me, and I immediately chose one. Under Debra’s guidance, I closed on that one on January 29th. My next step was to sell our house on Siesta Key. I had enjoyed working with Debra, so listed it with her. I wanted to wait to show it until I could get my husband moved into the new villa. Meanwhile, Debra was busy preparing her sales materials, having a terrific video of the house made, and having postcards printed. We moved into our villa on March 19th, and on March 27th, the Michael Saunders caravan viewed the Siesta house. I have bought and sold quite a few homes in my life, but never had to face the complications of this one. There were some problems with the house we didn’t know about until inspection, and also the many stairs (with no elevator) turned off many buyers. The buyer Debra found for me created other problems. However, Debra powered through every complication, even after having been in a serious automobile accident, while keeping me sane and our buyer enthused about the purchase. On Thursday, June 21st, I closed on the sale, with Debra at my side. I don’t usually do testimonials, but my husband and I think Debra Pitell-Hauge is an exceptional Realtor. She is persistent without being pushy, (a trait we detest), very professional and yet warm, and extremely good at what she does. We think your organization is fortunate to have her, and I hope you will forward my comments to Michael.

Debra was exceptional in the level of customer service she provided my husband, Andy, and I as we researched Sarasota. We were thinking of moving from Colorado to Sarasota and found Debra through a neighborhood search of places to live with tennis facilities. Debra went out of her way to help us. The most notable thing was the first day we met, we spent time talking and answering questions so Debra could get a feel for us as a couple, what we were looking for, what things on our list were most important. Prior to our visit to Sarasota in December she sent over a number of listings that met all or most of our criteria and really gave us a sense of what the neighborhoods were like. One of the homes Debra recommended was PERFECT! We saw a few homes before visiting the one we fell in love with, and when we walked in the door of our home we knew it was the one.Our home in CO had sold in September of 2017 with an extended closing timeframe up to end of April of 2018. We were concerned the sellers would not go for such a long timeframe before closing but Debra was able to work out the negotiations. Within 1 week we had an accepted contract!Between finding the house and closing Debra stayed in constant contact. She helped us find a firm to handle the closing, the inspector scheduling (and met the inspector at the home). She also helped the sellers with scheduling the few repairs needed so everything was in top shape for us.The list of additional things Debra helped with is lengthy-from helping us understand utility companies, to what to expect with the walk-through and closing, even recommending service providers for the pool, pest control, and cleaning service. Debra very clearly goes above and beyond to ensure all her clients have a successful, positive home buying experience. We are so happy we found Debra and that we can call her our first friend in Sarasota!

We are so pleased to say that Debra Pitell-Hauge helped us again for the 3rd time and every experience we have had has been wonderful and very professional. Debra does go over and beyond to help us as she always reviews our contract thoroughly, she even caught a mistake that the other realtor had made that would have jeopardized our deal. Larry and I want to thank you for your outstanding job in selling our home in Esplanade. When we asked you to list the property, we knew that you are a very dedicated, knowledgeable and professional Realtor, but you exceeded our expectations in every way. You were very proactive in your approach to letting the neighbors know that the home was available and very responsive when the Buyers expressed an interest in seeing the property. Debra Pitell-Hauge was extremely helpful with the purchase of our new home, as well as assisting us with the sale of our previous one. She is very knowledgeable and guided us every step of the way. Debra made the whole process seem effortless, although I know she worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all come together perfectly!
