Annette Reeve is the Director of Mayfair. She was recently in Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte County personally previewing many area homes for sale. What’s more, she’ll be face-to-face with premium buyers across Europe this week at the Hurlingham Club, where she’ll help to showcase many of our luxury properties. Annette is our latest participant in “23 About Me” and we just loved her uniquely British perspective. (Oh, and about lunch at Court in the sixteenth century…we’ll bring the roasted pheasant!) We were introduced by Jim Hanrahan, who used to be an agent at the Longboat Key office of Michael Saunders & Company. Jim passed away this Fall but we will ever be grateful to him for the introduction. Do you have a special talent? I can sing the Hokey Pokey in Latin … How did you spend your childhood summers? Summers were usually spent at an English seaside resort or renting an English country cottage for a few weeks. If you could have lunch with someone from history, who would it be? Catherine Parr, the 6th wife of Henry 8th to find out what life in his Court was really like. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? Siesta Key Choose one: Boating, golfing, or the Arts? Why? The Arts. I love the theatre or a great Art Gallery. What living person do you most admire? Our Queen, Elizabeth II What is your greatest extravagance? Clothes (and shoes) What do you love about working with Michael Saunders & Company? The people I get to work with – and the properties are pretty stunning too! When you visit the Gulf Coast, are there any particular attractions that you like to see/do? We like to hire a small boat and spend a day on the Intracoastal with a picnic. What is your favorite Broadway musical? Evita What is the prettiest place you have been on Florida’s Gulf Coast? Siesta Key What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday? I like to be out in the fresh air and sunshine on a boat. Do you have any memorable moments from visiting the Sarasota area? Too many to list but I do remember a stunning electric storm we saw in the middle of the night whilst staying at the Ritz Carlton. Aside from the weather, what do Brits generally want to know about the Sarasota area? The best beaches and restaurants. What do you like to cook? A traditional British Sunday lunch. Name one thing on your bucket list: A trip to Australia What did you want to be when you were little? A physiologist – so similar skills to a Real Estate agent! What is your most treasured possession? The letter my Dad wrote to me before he died and left in a place where he knew I would only find it after he had passed away.
