With picture perfect weather along the Gulf Coast, April is one of the busiest months of the year. We have compiled a list of not-to-be-missed events that will have you rubbing elbows with stars, seeing provocative live theater, and maybe even catching a home run!

In Support of Girls

Girls Inc. Annual Luncheon Last week the ladies of Michael Saunders & Company showed up in support of Girls, Inc. at their annual fundraiser luncheon held at the Ritz Carlton. Among some of the MS&C Realtors spotted were Rachel Berkun, Georgina Clamage, Megan Kendrick of MSC Mortgage, Judy Nimz, Linda Driggs, and Stacey Hanan. Girls Inc. is among the organizations that has received grants from the MSC Foundation and you can learn more about them on their website.

State Sweep Championship Rowing  The Florida Scholastic Rowing Association is holding its State Sweep Championship at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida April 25 – 26. Spring Training for the Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays, & Pittsburg Pirates Its April and you know what that means - Spring Training! Baseball fans can catch numerous games this month. Check out the Tampa Bay Rays at the Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, the Baltimore Orioles at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, and the Pittsburgh Pirates at McKechnie Field in Bradenton.

Sarasota Film Festival Returning for its 17^th year, the Sarasota Film Festival showcases the best of independent movie making with more than 180 films to choose from. La Musica International Chamber Music Festival There’s still time to catch performances from La Musical’s International Chamber Music Festival presented at the Sarasota Opera House featuring chamber music from your favorite classical and modern composers. Chicken Shop at the Urbanite Theatre Sarasota is home to an all new, intimate theatre located in the heart of downtown.  Presenting its inaugural piece, Chicken Shop, you can attend the U.S. premier at Urbanite Theatre now through May 3^rd. Next to Normal at the Venice Theatre Winner of the Pulitzer-Prize for Drama and three Tony Awards, Next to Normal is playing at the Venice Theatre now through April 26^th.
