With over 1,000 new residents moving to the state of Florida each month, our latest video series will travel across Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties to ask real residents one question: why? Why do they choose to live in our region above every other place in the world? Our first episode features Christine Nicole, a photographer who lives and works in Sarasota. Here is what she had to say:
"My name is Christine Nicole Thomas. I'm the owner of Christine Nicole Photography and I'm a professional photographer. Living in Sarasota is like living in a vacation spot. We love the beautiful beaches, the amazing restaurants, the wonderful theater, the galleries, the world-class golf courses. This is a great place to raise your family, to retire, and build your career. When I do my beauty portraits it's all about bringing the inner beauty out in a woman and helping her to feel beautiful because every day we are moms and we work and we always don't get to feel that beauty. So my process is to go into a woman's home and help her pick out her wardrobe, bring her into the studio and do her hair and make up, and do a beautiful shoot with her. When they first see their portraits they're like, "I love them. I look beautiful." And that's when I know I've done my job. I'm making beautiful portraits in a beautiful place called Sarasota."
