We just completed a very busy month working with Janis and Ron Collier. We purchased a new downtown condo, they represented us as the buyers, and we sold our single family home, for which they represented us as the sellers. During all phases of both transactions they were in constant and timely communication, never let a detail slip through the cracks, and treated all parties involved in both situations with the utmost respect. Janis & Ron Collier sold my house at 7523 Ascot Court, University Park In May 2020. She advised me about changes I should make in my home to enhance its marketability. I signed the sale Listing agreement with her on Dec. 13, 2019, and my house was under contract on January 12, 2020- pretty remarkable and much faster than I had expected! In addition, I had Janis' guidance when I decided to build a new home at The Isles in Lakewood Ranch. She provided her invaluable opinion which among other things included helping me pick out the perfect lot. We worked with Janis and Ron to purchase our Florida condo from out-of-state. Due to the pandemic, we were not able to be in Florida for the process and Janis and Ron went above and beyond to make the experience stress-free and run smoothly. Twenty years ago, when I flew into Sarasota to look for a new home, I had very little knowledge of the area. Janis Collier spent a long and hot day showing me many options from Palmer Ranch to Lakewood Ranch. Ultimately, I settled on University Park Country Club and built a house there. Twenty years later, when I decided to build a new house "Out East", Janis was invaluable in helping pick the perfect lot in the perfect community. The next step was assessing my University Park home and making recommendations to ready it for showing. Her expertise, attention to detail, and years of experience guided me in making the sometimes hard decisions that resulted in turning a well-loved home into a picture-perfect showcase. Her networking and enthusiasm resulted in a contract in less than a week. Ron Collier's legal experience and embrace of technology made the paperwork painless. Through DocuSign I was able to sign the needed documents from the convenience of my home using my computer or phone. Janis and Ron brought this sale to a successful closing in the middle of a pandemic without missing a beat. Janis is wonderful! She knows the Sarasota market and found a buyer for my home in less than 3 weeks. She was always available to hold my hand, calm me down and answer my questions. Ron was terrific--he had all the answers to my real estate and legal questions and was able to resolve any issues that arose quickly. Together I do not think i could have found a better team. Janis helped me with my first home purchase in Sarasota 20 years ago--she was great then and even better now!
