For over thirty years my husband and I owned property in Plantation. The first and last of three at separate times were in Farmington Vistas. A favorite pastime was visiting Open Houses. When Covid came along I skedaddled to my primary home up north; I fully intended to come back. The longer the pandemic drew out, the more I felt the condo needed to pass to new owners. Just shy of 1,100 miles seemed a daunting distance to plan and carry out this change. I reflected on the many times I visited Open Houses. There was a commonality to some of the condos I visited. They were beautifully presented even though some were more physically updated than others. (And after thirty-plus years of being around the Plantation, I knew at a glance what was changed. Also the value of one location over another.) One realtor came to mind. I found Tracy Pierce on your website and knew she was the gal I recalled as being at the impressive condos. When I initially talked with Tracy I explained my physical distance and that I was not feeling comfortable with making the trip. She assured me that getting the condo ready for sale could be taken care of with no worry to me. I had left the condo and my life there within less than twenty-four hours. The freezer was full. The place was clean but not showcase clean after over a year. I’m am admittedly persnickety and the thought of someone else getting the condo ready to show was more than a bit daunting. Tracy assured me that she was willing to take on the task. And take it on she did. My items were all packed up and made ready to ship. The condo was shinned up and fresh flowers were placed. Tracy was as good as her word and sold it quickly. That gal is a gem and certainly deserves many accolades!

The sale of our condo in Lawrence Pointe was yesterday. It, like the entire marketing process, went without a hitch due to the skill and thoroughness of Judy. We had originally put the condo on the market early in 2020 but soon took it off mostly due to the unpredictability of the pandemic. We put it back on this summer and accepted an offer within 3 days. Judy did an outstanding job of marketing it from the beginning. And even after we accepted the offer, she was always there. Checking every little thing in all the paperwork that followed. Suggesting movers, good places to donate items, people to help us pack, and cleaners. She knew and contacted the best quality people and the most reasonable. She answered any and all questions we had. She also communicated with the management and property manager of the condo association. If there were a grade above A+, she would get it.

Alison is wonderful, she sold me my condo on Siesta Key in 2009 and we have been in touch since. She helped me when I was deciding on whether to move to a condo in downtown Sarasota, or a community such as Sunrise Preserve or to a home not affiliated with an HOA. She has been patient since it was a few years before I retired that I started my search. I always recommend her to family and friends who are house hunting. Alison is patient and listens to the customer, she adapts her style to the customer's style so I felt very comfortable taking her advice since I knew she had my best interest at heart. I lived in the NY and NJ area all my life and have had realtors who just didn't listen and that is the worst because I felt they just wanted their commission and didn't care if I were happy or not. Alison is the antithesis of this type of realtor, she really does care. Home buying, as you well know, is about the biggest purchase a person/family can make and it is not easy. Alison helped relieve the stress of this life-changing decision, especially since I was relocating from NJ to Sarasota. I have found a great realtor and a good friend and you should know how great she is.

I recently had the great experience of working with Linda Lewis Carlstrom, who was the buyer’s agent in the transaction. As a mortgage broker, I work with many agents every day and it was refreshing to have such a high level of support and engagement from the agent. Linda was always there to assist her buyer, to assist the lender as needed, and consistently had the needs of her buyer client at the forefront. For any potential homeowners, I commend Linda, because when you’re buying the home, making an offer and signing a contract is just part of it. Having an agent who will roll up their sleeves and get involved to make sure the entire process is a great experience is rare and invaluable. From my perspective, Linda is one of the best, and I would recommend her for any potential home buyers out there.

It is with pleasure that I give my highest rating to Mark and the entire team at Michael Saunders & Company. We engaged with Mark on the basis of a glowing reference from a friend and we were certainly not disappointed. From our first meeting with Mark, we felt like we were in capable, professional hands. My wife and I have bought and sold homes nine times over our travels, and this was the best experience yet. The staff did a great job of handling the pictures and marketing material. Kim Ogilvie and her team provided the best possible experience we could have asked for to market and sell our home. She did a great job making sure we were priced at a level that would get us the best return on our investment. This allowed us to sell the home above the listing price. Using her recommendations on staging and needed repairs made the home very marketable. We are now working with another talented team member, Melissa Gissinger, to identify another property to purchase.
